Volunteer Opportunities & Annual Meeting Notice


Tendto Credit Union is seeking members to join our team of directors and committee members who provide the governance that contributes to our success.

The Board of Directors is responsible for setting the goals and direction of the organization and overseeing management’s efforts to complete that vision. Directors must be knowledgeable, ethical and dedicated individuals who are committed to Tendto’s mission and values. 

As a volunteer, you will have opportunities to work hand in hand with Tendto team members to help ensure our members receive the best products and services. Directors will have the opportunity to learn about the credit union industry and participate in the decision-making process. The experience and skills gained as a director will aid in other community or professional endeavors in which you may participate.

Director Qualifications

  • Resident of Erie County and at least 18 years of age
  • Tendto Credit Union member for at least 1 year
  • Member in good standing and using products and services to a reasonable degree
  • May not currently be employed at Tendto or have been dismissed for cause
  • Skills to comprehend financial statements and risk management strategies
  • Must be bondable

Director Responsibilities

  • Attend regular and special meetings of the Board
  • Seek to learn more about the credit union movement and its services
  • Consistently foster and engage in effective strategic thinking and planning

Nominated candidates will have the opportunity to fill one of five available positions in the 2019 elections. There will be two vacancies on the Board of Directors and three vacancies on the Supervisory Committee. Current board members are permitted to stand for re-election.
